La. 35 in the City of Kaplan will be reduced to one lane for road construction between La 14 and La 696 (north of Kaplan).

There will be a lane shift in the median-divided section with the traffic diverted onto the shoulder/parking area. Parking in the median-divided section will be prohibited during the daytime construction hours so that the area can be resurfaced.

This closure will be in place during the daytime only – with all lanes opened each night. Lane closures will begin on Monday, June 25 and should continue for 7 days, weather permitting.

This closure will allow vehicles 11-feet wide or smaller to pass through the construction zone. The road is open for regular traffic but oversize vehicles must detour using La 696 to La 343 to La 14.
