Three men were arrested and one is wanted in connection with the seizure of 33 pounds of suspected marijuana in Simmesport, according to Avoyelles Parish Sheriff Doug Anderson.
Sheriff Anderson said that deputies seized the alleged marijuana, one .380 caliber semi-auto handgun, scales and a quantity of packing material from a Simmesport house occupied by the suspects.
The suspected marijuana was broken down into gallon bags containing many smaller bags consistent with the street sales of illegal drugs. Twenty-nine additional gallon bags containing suspected marijuana were also seized. The suspected marijuana has an approximate street value of $39,000.
Seven children, ages 3 to 12, were at the residence at the time of the arres,t according to Sheriff Anderson. The Louisiana Department of Child and Family Services was called to the scene to assist in the placement of the children in proper care.

Deputies have issued a Warrant of Arrest for Richo Robinson, B/M, 21 of Simmesport, in connection to the investigation charging him with:

2.) Possession of Firearm or Carrying Concealed Weapon
3.) Cruelty to Juvenile (7 counts)
