The Vermilion Boys & Girls Club Rodney Unit is now open for its after school program.

The Club serves all children ages 6-18 and is open Monday thru Friday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. The Club offers a variety of staff supervised programs including homework help, computers, arts and crafts, as well as a variety of recreational activities.

As part of the Boys and Girls Clubs ongoing community service efforts, the club collaborated with Banana Republic located in the Acadiana Mall in an effort to collect school supplies for the 2012 school year.

According to Brian Ford, Director of the Vermilion Boys & Girls Clubs Rodney Unit, “We would like to thank Banana Republic as well as those in the community that took the time to donate these much needed school supplies. These supplies will be utilized to ensure students get off to a good start this school year.”

The school supplies were donated to Eaton Park Elementary by the Boys & Girls Clubs “Keystone Club”, which is a character and leadership program offered at the club for teenagers.
