The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Michael Doyle of Abbeville. Mrs. Doyle is the former Charlotte Ardoin of Opelousas. The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. Clifford George Ardoin of Mamou and the late Mrs. Evelyn Fontenot Ardoin of Ville Platte. Her paternal grandparents are the late Mr. Donald Joseph Doyle and the late Mrs. Dorothy Noeth Doyle of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Jennifer is a 2002 graduate of Vermilion Catholic High School in Abbeville. She earned a B.S. in marketing and a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University. She is currently a commercial credit analyst with Iberia Bank.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Craig Robert Bordelon of Slidell. Mrs. Bordelon is the former Denise Yaeger of New Orleans. The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Robert Yaeger of New Orleans. His paternal grandparents are Mrs. Carol Ruiz Bordelon and the late Mr. Charles Raymond Bordelon Sr. of New Orleans.
Craig is a 2004 graduate of Saint Paul’s School in Covington. He attended Louisiana State University and earned a B.A. in political communication. Mr. Bordelon received his J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. He is currently an associate with Preis & Roy PLC’s Lafayette office.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory organza wave bridal ball gown by Lazaro. The strapless fitted bodice was made of sheer alencon lace with organza petal accents, and was fashioned with a sweetheart neckline. The bride’s waistline was accented with a platinum jeweled ribbon belt. The circular skirt was constructed of multiple layers of tissue thin ivory organza. The skirt fell from the bride’s natural waistline and swept into a chapel length train. To complete her ensemble, the bride chose a cathedral length veil of ivory tulle and wore an ivory tulle blusher as her father escorted her down the aisle.
The bride carried a bouquet composed of three shades of white roses and wrapped in a platinum satin ribbon. Entwined in the bouquet was an heirloom rosary of sterling silver and pale blue crystals belonging to her late paternal grandmother, Dorothy Noeth Doyle, and the wedding band of her late maternal grandmother, Evelyn Fontenot Ardoin. The bride also carried an heirloom rosary which was carried by the groom’s maternal grandmother, Patricia Cullota Yaeger and mother, Denise Yaeger Bordelon, for their weddings.
Ms. Angela Doyle, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ms. Carli Bordelon, sister of the groom, Mrs. Amanda Trahan Doyle, sister-in-law of the bride, Ms. Lacey Laurent, cousin and godchild of the bride, Mrs. Kristen Hoyt White, Ms. Lia Campisi, Ms. Elizabeth Brown and Mrs. Amanda Noel Mehrtens, all friends of the bride. Each bridesmaid wore a full-length gown of midnight blue tissue taffeta with a v-neckline and a v-back. The ruched, fit and flare gown by Amsale featured a slight sweeping train. Each bridesmaid carried a bouquet of coffee break roses wrapped in tea leaves.
Mr. Jonathan Amaraneni, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Craig Doyle, brother of the bride, Mr. Charles R. Bordelon, III, cousin of the groom, Mr. Steven Yaeger, cousin of the groom, Mr. Douglas Fain, Mr. Ethan Acquistapace, Mr. Samuel Webb and Mr. John Braxton Swift, all friends of the groom.
Serving as ushers were Mr. Brian Doyle and Mr. Eric Doyle, cousins of the bride and Mr. Cavan Bordelon and Mr. Darren Yaeger, uncles of the groom.
Ring Bearers were Brendan James Doyle and Colin Michael Doyle, nephews of the bride and Ethan Paul Doyle, nephew and godchild of the bride.
Scriptural readings were presented by Mr. Edward Doyle, godfather of the bride and Mr. Charles Bordelon Jr., godfather of the groom. Vocal selections were sung by Ms. Jodi Bollich. Mr. Tommy Guidry, Mr. Xiao-lu Li, Ms. Yang Yang Li, Mr. Patrick Prejean, Ms. Emma Guidry, Mr. Jared Gray, Mr. Will Green and Mr. Matt Shoemaker performed the music for the ceremony.
The mother of the bride wore an elegant copper brown strapless gown of Thai silk. The Marisa Baratelli gown featured a ruched bodice and a slight sweeping train. The ensemble was completed with a high collar Thai silk bolero.
The groom’s mother wore a raisin colored taffeta dress with cap sleeves, an elegant V-neckline and a layered A-line skirt.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Petroleum Club of Lafayette. Entertainment was provided by GTO & “D” Street Brass.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents on November 16, 2012, at Café Vermilionville in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Following their honeymoon in Rome, Italy and Paris, France, the couple will reside in Lafayette, Louisiana.
