Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan honoring the life of Alfred Touchet, 82, who died July 8, 2008 at his residence.
He was laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Louella Guidry Touchet of St. Martinville; four sons, Russell Touchet and his wife, Peggy, of Houma, Kenneth Touchet and friend, Laddie, of Carencro, Glenn Touchet and friend, Annie, of New Iberia and Robert Touchet and his wife, Jessica of Little Rock, Arkansas; two daughters, Cheryl Calvit of Lafayette and Rita Royer and her husband Murphy of Duson; three brothers, A.J. Touchet of Winnie, TX, Elias Joseph Touchet, Jr. of Kaplan and J.B. Touchet of Texas; two sisters, Dorothy Saltzman and Virgie Lemaire of Kaplan; and a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Norman Touchet and one daughter, Carol Touchet; parents, Elias Touchet and the former Lillia Daily; and one sister, Emily Romero.
All funeral arrangements were conducted by Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan.
