Valerie Elaine Zaunbrecher of Rayne will become the bride of John Blake Cary, also of Rayne, on August 16, 2008.

The couple will exchange wedding vows during a 1 p.m. ceremony among family and friends at the Town Club in Crowley.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Zaunbrecher, Jr. of Roberts Cove and Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Gaspard of Broussard. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Libby of Crowley and Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Zaunbrecher of Roberts Cove.

Valerie is a 2006 graduate of St. Thomas More High School in Lafayette and is currently employed with the Lafayette Parish Courthouse.

The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Cary and Susan Leger, all of Rayne. He is the grandson of Mrs. Lee Birdie Cary of Rayne and the late Wilbert Cary and Mr. and Mrs. William Leger of Roberts Cove.

John is a 2003 graduate of Rayne High School and is currently employed with Zaunbrecher Air conditioning and also Production Services Network.

After the wedding the newly wedded couple will reside in Rayne.
