Minutes read and approved.

Old Business-Acquire quotes for batting cage construction. Approve purchase of John Deere SUV.

New Business-Motion made by Dean Morgan, seconded by Charles Baglio to adopt Amite Tangi Digest as the official journal of Independence Recreation. All members agreed.

Motion made by Frances Durnin, seconded by Joseph Dagro to adopt Resolution 1 to adopt millage rates of 14.420 mills for the tax year 2008.

Yea votes-Joseph Dagro, Dean Morgan, Frances Durnin, John Polito, Charles Baglio, Larry Cardaronella.

Nay votes-0

Absent-Darrell Avant

Motion made by Dean Morgan, seconded by John Polito, to adopt adjusted millage rate after reassessment and roll forward the millage to a rate not to exceed the prior year’s maximum millage of 15 mills for the year 2007.

Yea-votes Joseph Dagro, Dean Morgan, Frances Durnin, John Polito, Charles Baglio, Larry Cardaronella.

Nay Votes-0

Absent-Darrell Avant.
