Controlling erosion controls water quality

The Vermilion Soil and Water Conservation District recently participated in the Bayou Vermilion Water Quality Festival at Vermilionville. Outreach material on how individuals can help to improve water quality, conserve water and be good stewards of our natural resources were distributed to young and old alike.

In addition, VSWCD participated in a scavenger hunt for the children, gave out coloring books, activity sheets, book marks and demonstrated h ow erosion can reduce water q uality.
