The North Vermilion High French Club will be taking the first of its two educational trips this year to the State Convention in Baton Rouge on January 30 – February 1.

The convention offers a place where French students can meet others from all across the state.  This year’s theme, Franco-Mix, offers an agenda featuring the Rallye de la Francophonie where students get to take an in-house tour of the many different countries where French is spoken.  North Vermilion will be competing in the banner contest which takes place during opening ceremonies on Friday evening.  The convention is full of bilingual activities, other competitions, and includes guest speakers.

All French students, are eligible to attend.  Students may sign up using the brochure on the site below.  Sponsors are also needed to help fund an additional student for the trip. To learn more, please e-mail Madame Fontenot at www.schoolnotes.com.
