The father-to-be is the son of Doug and Kate Brodhead of Cypress, Texas.
Serving as hostesses were Karen Funderburk, Donna LeBlanc, Sharon Richey, Janis Aslett, all aunts of the expectant mother; Kelli LeJeune, Erica Dorr, Amber Leonards, Noelle Thomas and Ashley Nix, friends of the honoree.
The Richey’s home was beautifully decorated throughout with spring floral arrangements consisting of pink and cream roses, blue hydrangeas and baby’s breath. A white baby’s bassinet adorned with pink and blue ribbons was also present.
On her special day the honoree was presented with a corsage, made by her aunt, Karen Funderburk. The floral spray featured a handmade baby bootie accented with pink roses and blue hydrangeas.
An assortment of refreshments were served including many finger foods of pink and blue chocolate covered strawberries, fruit kabobs, raspberry and lemon curd dessert shells, petifores, champagne, punch and coffee.
Approximately 55 guests attended from New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Thibodeaux, Lake Charles, Lafayette and Austin, Texas.
The couple awaits the arrival of their first little bundle of joy on May 1, 2009.
