LAFAYETTE – When Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns baseball team takes on McNeese State in the last home midweek contest of the season Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., fans can expect more than just a baseball game.

Tuesday night’s game will serve as Season Ticket Redemption Night No. 2, where season ticket holders can exchange any unused season tickets from previous home games for general admission tickets for free.

The game will also serve as Superior Energy Services’ ‘Night at the Ballpark’, benefitting Miles Perret Cancer Services. The Miles Perret Center provides free emotional, physical and financial services for cancer patients and survivors as well as their families, and is funded through donations, grants and events such as the Games of Acadiana and ‘Night at the Ballpark’ at “The Tigue.”

Any children who bring change to donate to Miles Perret Cancer Services receive a free ticket to the game. Children 12 and under will receive free baseball cards and mini-baseball bats, and for veteran baseball fans there will be a baseball memorabilia exhibition and $1 raffle.

The Ragin’ Cajuns’ game jerseys and hats will be auctioned off at the end of the game, and as a special treat, skydivers will deliver the game ball to “The Tigue.”
