Mr. and Mrs. Carlin Dale Trahan of Erath announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth Nolia Trahan, to Joshua Matthew Korf, son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Anthony Korf of Sugar Land, TX. The couple will be united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony during a Nuptial Mass on Monday, December 28, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Broussard. The Reverend Wayne Duet will be the celebrant.

Elizabeth is the granddaughter of the late Laurest and Daisy Suire Trahan of Kaplan, and Eluse Dugas and the late Leurline Thibodeaux Dugas of Erath. She is a graduate of Erath High School and an honor graduate of Nicholls State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communicative Disorders. The bride is presently completing a Master of Science degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond.

Joshua is the grandson of the late Herbert Herman Korf and Elizabeth Mono Korf of Forest Lake, MN, and Mrs. Judith Carmen Turner and the late Earl Eugene Turner of Lakewood, CO. He is a graduate of Lafayette Senior High School in Lafayette, LA and the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is presently employed by Weatherford International as a Design Engineer.
