Wife pleads guilty to killing her husband

Denna Decuir pled guilty Monday to manslaughter dealing with the death of her husband Milton Decuir.

She was first charged with second degree murder but pled to a lesser charge.

A year ago this month, 60-year-old Milton Decuir was found dead.

A small caliber handgun was used in the crime.

Decuir’s body was found in his bed in his house on the 1900 block of Canebreak Road.

His house is located in what is called “Big Woods,” located before Esther and about three miles south of Perry.

None of Decuir’s belongings were believed to be stolen proceeding this crime.

Denna was arrested for the murder on Feb. 5, 2009.

The murder was the first of the year in 2009.
