The Lady Wildcats will play Rayville Monday at home in the second round. Game time is at 6:30 p.m.
At halftime, Abbeville was up 35-16. The Lady Cats outscored Caldwell 16-1 iat one time in the third period and led 52-19 at the end of the third period.
Kiara Levine led Abbeville in scoring with 16 points. Jasmine Dozier and Rechelle Bessard each added 11 for AHS. Derrian Gaspard, with a broken finger, still managed to score 12 points for AHS.
Abbeville shot 51 percent from the floor (28-55) and made 71 percent of their free throws (5-7).
