Belvedere, SC—Dr. Marvin S. Morgan, 87, of Kingstree Road, Belvedere, SC, entered into rest April 27, 2010. Interment will be held Monday in Southern Memorial Park, North Miami, FL.

Dr. Morgan was a native of Abbeville, LA, a former resident of North Miami, Florida, having made Belvedere his home for the past 2 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, a graduate of the Loyola University School of Dentistry, having practiced dentistry in South Florida for over 40 years. Dr. Morgan loved to sing, read and play golf. He was known for his love of nature, particularly the ocean and the Louisiana Bayou. Dr. Morgan was preceded in death by his son, Mark Morgan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Isham White Morgan, and Etha Winch Morgan, his twin brother, Marvel Burton Morgan and his son, Mark Stephen Morgan.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Doris B. Morgan; two sons and daughters-in-law, Pastor Kevin and Susan Morgan, Millers Creek, NC, and Chaplain Dale and Rhonda Morgan, Wellton, AZ; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rosanne and John Richards, Landrum, SC, and Deanne and Peter Wilson, Chattanooga, TN; one brother, Otha Morgan, Abbeville, LA; 10 grandchildren, Lucas Richards, Andrew Richards, Rebekah Griffith, Jonathan Morgan, Sharon Morgan, Adam Morgan, Gwyneth Wilson, Ada Morgan, Emily Morgan and Ian Wilson.
