An alarm system was accidently activated by the key holder.

The driver of a vehicle was located and stopped by police. The driver was cited for careless operation and an unsafe vehicle.

A man told police he thought the skating rink sign was causing a blind spot, but officers informed him it was not.

Extra police patrol was requested because of people standing on a particular property.

A student had a musical instrument stolen from a school locker. The matter is still under investigation.

Officers received a call of a reckless vehicle between HWY 14 and HWY 167. Officers were unable to locate the vehice in the area.

Matthews St.

A woman was told to leave and not return to her home by police. She was also told how to contact social services to get her child back. At one time, the child was placed under the resident’s care because both of its parents were arrested.

John Hardy & Bypass

Officers arrived at a car crash scene. It was a minor crash with no injuries. Both vehicles were still in the road, but when officers arrived, the drivers of the vehicles moved.

Fairmount & Putnam

Officers were called to talk to a man who was riding a dirt bike on the road.

A man told police he noticed his storm door glass was broken when he returned home from work. He also noted that when leaving for work, he saw the City of Abbeville employees were cutting grass around his home.

Extra police patrol was requested because of an increase in speeding vehicles.

Police were called to help out with a civil matter.

A woman called police because she thought someone had crashed into her car while she was in Walmart. After investigation, it was proved no crash had occurred and the damage done to her car was because her tire exploded.

A man called police to tell them of an incident that happened outside of the city limits. Police informed him he needed to contact Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Police assisted with an Acadian Ambulance transferal.

Officers were called to Eaton Park Elementary School.

Officers were called about a disturbance, but none was found upon arrival.

Officers were called to Magdalen Place.

1st @ Jefferson

Police found a person who they assumed was intoxicated. After learning the person was not intoxicated, officers let the person walk home.

N. Hospital

A child was bitten by a small Shitzu dog. Officers could not locate the dog and only minor injuries were given to the child’s right arm.

Clover

A K-9 team with narcotics was sent to the area.

Coulee Kinney

Police told a man to stay away from Coulee Kinney Apartments or he would go to jail.
