The Acadiana Regional Alliance (ARA) announced today its quarterly general meeting will feature an informative discussion on the impact of the Gulf of Mexico moratorium and the oil spill on Acadiana.

Lt. Governor Scott Angelle is the featured speaker.

ARA Chair Janet Faulk, of the New Iberia Chamber of Commerce, commented, “This moratorium is detrimental to the families and economy of Acadiana. We have to work together very aggressively to make sure the president understands this and reverses the moratorium. This meeting will help us make that point.”

The meeting will be held Thursday, June 17, 2010, at 7:30 am at the Petroleum Club of Lafayette (111 Heymann Blvd.) and includes breakfast. The public is invited to attend. The cost is $20. Seating is limited. Please RSVP to Tina Begnaud at info@breauxbridgelive.com
