Duhon wins LifePoint award

Jennifer Duhon, dietician, has been presented the Mercy Award at Acadian Medical Center. The annual award is named after Scott Mercy, Lifepoint’s founding chairman and CEO. AMC is a LifePoint hospital.

Duhon was nominated by her co-workers and is eligible to compete in the company-wide contest consisting of one recipient from each of the 48 LifePoint Hospitals in 19 states.

“The Mercy Award gives us an opportunity to recognize excellence and hold up those who inspire and lead others by their example, “ says LifePoint Hospitals President and CEO Bill Carpenter.

Duhon has been a part of AMC since 2004.

Frazier said Duhon exemplifies all of LifePoint’s standards of excellence by her continued loyalty and commitment to Acadian Medical Center as well as the community.

“Jennifer is respected and revered by her co-workers and patients, not only in her professional life but also in her personal endeavors. Jennifer goes above and beyond her expected role as manager and as dietician in caring for not only the patient but the entire family. She shows genuine compassion, kindness, respect in everything she does.”

Duhon is secretary of the Louisiana Dietetic Association. Once an month she gives free in-services at teh United Way Clinic, and is active in a number of community projects.
