The Girl Scouts Day Camp was held at the Northside Civic Center Monday, July 7, Tuesday, July 8, and Wednesday, July 9. <!--break-->The overall theme was “Girl Scout Musical.” The local theme was “Camp Flat Town.” Monday’s focus was on Nature’s Creations. Tuesday’s focus was Stress Less Girls, and Wednesday’s was Wet-N-Wild. The girls enjoyed a variety of activities like the one here. Kim Hollier, naturalist for the Louisiana Arboretum, discussed insects with the young girls. During the camp, the girls also enjoyed learning about health, beauty and participating in activities that strengthened them as young women.
