The Evangeline Council on Aging awarded plaques to some of its departing board members during its meeting Tuesday, September 9.
Departing board members were outgoing president Lionel Chapman, Lola Johnson, Gervis LaFleur, Beverly Miller and Mary Reavill.
Each member in attendance was presented with a plaque of appreciation for their hard work and dedication as members of the board.
New officers appointed during the meeting were: Jerry Foret, president; Ervin McCauley, vice president; Eugene LeBoeuf, executive director; and Emma Joy Phillips, secretary.
