Abbeville - Funeral services will be held for Mr. Johnn Lee Batiste, 52, at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008 at Rosehilll Baptist Church Christian with Rev. John Allen officiating.
He will be awaiting he resurrection in St. Paul Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Saturday at church from time of service. Mr. Maze passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at St. Francis Nursing Home in Oberlin, La.
He is survived by his wife, CFonnie Henderson Batiste of Abbeville, one son, Gregory Batiste of Orange, Texas; three brothers, Alvin (Delta), Willis, Terry (Shirley) Willis and Patrick Willis, all of Abbeville; four sisters, Pernella (Albert) Carter, Catherine Willis, Tracey Winters and Florida (Craig) Willis, all of Abbeville; two by his parents, Ludric and Gertrude Augstus Batiste; two sisters, Priscilla Willis and Debra Willis and a brother in law, Mike Winters.

John David Broussard, 77, died at his home on October 22,2008.
Mr. Broussard was honored with a celebration of his life Friday, October 24, at the Church of the Redeemer, 4411 Dallas, Houston 77023. There was a viewing at Vincent Funeral Home on 209 S. St. Charles Street, Abbeville, La.
Gladys M. Prejean DuBois Theall strong>
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville honoring the life of Gladys M. Prejean DuBois Theall, 88, who died Sunday, October 19, 2008 at Webster, Texas.
She was laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.
She is survived by her niece, Mary Ann Broussard of Abbeville; nephew, David Prejean of Point Comfort, Texas; great niece, Dawn Broussard LeBlanc; great nephews, Kevin P. Broussard and Jake Prejean; numerous great great nieces and nephews; severals cousins; four step daughters, Jacqueline Nieto of California, Kathleen Digenam of California, Meredith Blades of Baton Rouge and Barbara Elsenberg of Santa Fe, Texas; and numerous step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Asa Prejean and the former Agnes Chauvin; step father, J. Morris Moss; first husband, Clesme S. “Dizzy” DuBois; second husband, Jack Theall; one brother, Lawless J. Prejean; and three nieces, Joanne Prejean, Debra Prejean and Barbara Prejean.

Douglas Royer, a Youngsville native, passed away Oct. 23, 2008 and funeral arrangements were held Saturday at St. Anne’s Church in Youngsville.
