Abbeville—Memorial services will be held Friday, December 12, 2008 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Rosalie Spain Broussard, 83, who died Monday, December 8, 2008 at Abbeville General Hospital.
She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services.
Mrs. Broussard worked as a legal secretary for over 20 years. She was a lover of the arts and theater, enjoyed reading and knitting and lived her life for her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Preston Broussard of Abbeville; son, Preston Bryan Broussard, Jr. and wife Cathy of Abbeville; two daughters, Cheryl LeBlanc and husband Jeffrey of Lake Arthur and Susan Willis and husband Carl of Broussard; six grandchildren, Chad LeBlanc and wife Noelle of Charlotte, NC, Jeremy Willis of Shreveport, Jill Ortego and husband Darren of Walker, Blake Willis and wife Stacey of Houma, Seth Broussard of Rayne and Hope Manafi and husband John; and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Florence Saffaran Spain; four brothers, Carl, Eugene, Chester and Bill Spain; sisters, Dorothy Wissing, Mary Ann Bashman, and Lilly Mae Sexton.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, December 12, 2008 from 8:30 a.m. until they depart for church at 9:45 a.m.

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008 at a 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church honoring the life of Audrey B. Broussard, 85, who died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008 at her residence.
She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Duet officiating the services.
Pallbearers will be will be Eris Babineaux, Roland Morvant, Johnny Broussard, Eugene Broussard, Kim Libersat and Gerald Libersat
She is survived by a daughter, Rochelle B. Armentor and her friend Daniel Girouard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aristide P. Broussard; father, Duies Broussard; her mother, Paecile Schexnaider Broussard and a brother, Dortrice “Lu Lu” Broussard.
