VFC members and volunteers gathered at the LSU AgCenter Building on Monday, February 16 for their annual praline-making project. Attending were, from left, Gloria Gaspard, Wilma LeJeune, Elaine Chatagnier, E. J. LeJeune, volunteer; Joyce LeJeune, Brandi Shelmin, volunteer; Audrey Miller, and Bernel Credeur. The pralines will be sold at the upcoming Iota/Tee-Mamou Mardi Gras Festival in Iota.
These pralines are sold at the Iota/Tee-Mamou Mardi Gras Festival which is held on Mardi Gras Day in downtown Iota. This is the club’s major fundraiser for the year. This has been a ongoing project for 20 plus years of this organization and they are still using the same old-family recipe.
Everyone is invited to come by the VFC booth at the Iota/Tee-Mamou Mardi Gras.
Acadia VFC cookbooks will also be on sale at this time.
