4 VC girls tennis team members going to

The Vermilion Catholic Lady Eagles tennis team is sending four players to the state tournament.

The team finished second at last week’s Regional tournament in Cade. Episcopal School of Acadiana, the host team, won the tournament.

The Lady Eagles have qualified one doubles team and two singles players for the State tournament Monday and Tuesday at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

Players who reached the tournament were the doubles team of Brandy Duhon and Lena Nelson. Joining the doubles are team Elizabeth McClain and Kristin Chauvin.

Noelle Hebert and Morgan Derouen also played for the VC girls in the regional tourney. In action for the VC boys were Alexandar Dartez, John Hebert, Andre Landry, Clark Broussard, and Jansen Trahan.
