Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Edna Stelly Gaspard, 89, who died Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at Abbeville General Hospital.
She was laid to rest at Breaux Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.
She is survived by three daughters, Sonia Gaspard Marceaux and her husband Roy of Kaplan, Penny Gaspard Kroll of New Orleans, and Earline Dartez Rice of Abbeville; two sons, Raywood Dartez and his wife Ruth of Jonesboro, Tennessee and Raoul Gaspard and his wife Lisa of Forked Island; three brothers, Joseph Matthew of Westlake, Oscar Matthew of Sunbury, Pennsylvania and Mayance Matthew of Lake Charles; ten grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Laodis Stelly Sr. and the former Eleanor Matthew; two sons-in-law, Michael Kroll and Edward Rice; and several brothers and sisters.
