Steel for the second story has been erected at McNeese State’s Jack Doland athletic facility.

The work on the new construction is now on its seventh month with completion expected by June of 2011.

The $8 million facility is being equipped with new locker rooms, weight rooms, meeting rooms and offices as well as a Hall of Fame room and seated area for football games. The building will encompass 32,000 square feet.

The building was initially constructed in 1965, the same year that the first game in Cowboy Stadium was played.
