Meghan is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen and Annette Oliva of Erath. She is the granddaughter of Nellie Chiasson of Grosse Isle and Theresa Oliva of Erath.
Garrett is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Karl and Catherine Schexnayder of Carencro. He is the grandson of Marion and Gloria Schexnayder of Lafayette.
The bride was escorted by her father Glenn Oliva.
The bride wore an ivory-colored silk-like taffeta gown. The lace and soft tulle combined to enhance the a-line gown. The strapless neckline featured tulle at the center front as lace accented the sides of the gown. A crystal-brooch detail adorned the empire waist, as lace continued to edge the entire train.
The bride’s best man was her cousin Andrew Dubois.
Her bridesmaids included her cousins Gia Monteleone and Natalie Sterling, her sister-in-law Denisse S. Oliva, Stacy Brouillette, Lisa Chachere and Hanna Broussard.
The bridesmaids all wore knee-length marine-blue dresses of their own style.
The flower girl was Cailyn Vincent, daughter of the bride.
The groom's best man was Erick Stutes.
The groomsmen included his brother Brett Schexnayder, Chris Menard, Alex Courville and brothers of the bride Joshua Oliva, Tyler Oliva and Matthew Oliva.
The ushers included the bride’s cousin Jeffrey Dubois, the groom’s cousin Chase Comeaux, Nick Landry and Blake David.
Music for the ceremony was provided by harpist Bette Vidrine of Lafayette.
Readings were given be the groom’s aunt Cindy Comeaux and the bride’s aunt Janet Dubois.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Erath Community Center.
The couple plans to reside in Erath.
