Alliance Française de Lafayette is sponsoring a picnic and anyone interested in learning to speak French is invited to come to Le Pique-Nique at 12:30 p.m. on every second Sunday in Girard Park in Lafayette.

Events are planned for children and adults who are interested in learning French in a fun environment.

The events include French conversation in conjunction with soccer, pétanque (a French lawn bowling game), Frisbee and storytelling.

Participants are asked to pack a lunch, and a camp chair.

Look for the Acadian Flag near the new pétanque playing area on the northern end of the park near the UL Alumni Center.

Alliance Française de Lafayette is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt corporation organized in accordance with the by-laws of the Alliance Française de Paris created in 1883 to encourage and further knowledge of the French culture and language and to foster friendly relations between the

American and French people.

Additional information on the Pique-Nique is available from Mike LeBlanc at 337-291-7179.
